Robert Half International Project Manager in Las Vegas, Nevada
Robert Half Technology is looking for Project Managers in Las Vegas, NV. You will ensure the effective delivery of projects collaborating with all functional business units to achieve strategic, tactical, and project goals. The Project Manger is responsible for the full range of activities required to effectively deliver the project(s) – define the project’s requirements and objectives, develop the project plan, coordinating the efforts of team members, lead the development and implementation as well as oversee the quality control. This role is fully responsible for all business communication, documentation, and overseeing the project from conception to deployment throughout the project’s life cycle.
Duties include leading business discovery sessions to define detailed business requirements, once defined producing a business requirements document, business process flow diagrams and use case scenarios. Must be able to work under deadlines Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Works directly with Business to define project requirements and objectives
Takes assigned project from original concept through final implementation - Creates and maintains project schedule by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestones completions, tracking all phases of the project lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions and resolving conflicts
Conducts project meetings:
Business JAD sessions
Meets with projects team(s) regularly to review project objectives, deliverables, and deadlines
Prepare detailed requirements, specifications, flow charts, and diagrams outlining systems capabilities and processes
Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans
Assists in defining test conditions
A minimum of five (5) years experience in software project management or software development with lead or manager responsibilities strongly preferred
Software development experience and knowledge of systems life cycle is required
Demonstrated ability to effectively manage projects and facilitate teams to achieve quality solutions
Demonstrated ability to manage, lead, and motivate people
Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communications skills and ability to facilitate work groups
Strong interpersonal skills
Posses general understanding of SDLC
Experience at working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment is essential
Producing project feasibility reports
Translating client requirements into highly specified project briefs
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial
Ability to read communication styles of team members who come from a broad spectrum of disciplines
Adept at conducting research into project-related issues and products
Strong customer service skills
Not Required, but Preferred:
Project Management Certification – PMI, PMP
General understanding of application development, database, and system design.
