OSP CONSTRUCTION INSPECTOR

Tilson is looking for a motivated, self-directed OSP Construction Inspector to join our team. The candidate should have technical experience in outside plant, a working knowledge of best construction practices, a focus on safety and attention to detail. Candidate will have a minimum of 1-3 years of proven experience with OSP underground and aerial telecommunication construction. We are looking for someone who wants an exciting opportunity to become a key player as we continue to experience exponential growth. This job will reside in our Las Vegas office.
Inspector is to be on site when the construction contractor is performing construction including utility locating, potholing, boring, trenching, plowing, excavation, duct proofing, cable placement, restoration and clean up.
Inspector will report on daily production and quality of work being performed.
Provide updates to Project Manager on overall safety, quality and production.
Must be able to document work being completed in the field using a mobile device.
Review test results and as builts.
Maintain orderly records and project documents
Prepare documentation packages for client review
Other duties as assigned.
May be required to work nights if work restrictions dictate work to be completed at night.
High School Diploma or associate’s degree preferred.
Strong understanding of outside plant engineering and construction practices.
High attention to detail.
Knowledge of NESC code as it relates to telecommunications
Experience in GIS or CAD strongly preferred.
Willingness to learn new skills, software, and technologies
Excellent verbal and written communication
Valid driver’s license
Successful candidates will be required to submit to criminal background check.
